The Gudun residential area is a compact district which has the greatest population density and the lest green-land density in Hangzhou. Most of people living there are the rural migrant workers. There is a great social contradiction of the discrimination to them in some of the town people.

The project gave it a solution that can fix the gap between the works and the urban society. On the one hand, it could combine the activities of the people living there and the town people that can let them know more about each other. On the other hand, it also created a new-model of reading that can promote the workers. All the solutions can make the residents there integrate into the urban life.
